Personal Update


Hey friends,


Since you all have been with us so far on this journey, Peter and I have a request... would you pray for our family? Several close members have tested positive for COVID. Everyone is recovering well at home right now, but here are our requests:

  1. Healing bodies.. for those who have tested positive.

  2. Protection... for those who have been exposed.

  3. Nashville... we are within the timeline of needing to isolate if we test positive, and it would interrupt our travel.

Peter and I have the best protection we can have with vaccination but we would love for our trip to be bathed in prayer. We trust God's hand over our family. We trust God's plans for The Story and this album. We trust we could make things work if we needed to stay in Kansas City. But I have fears too...

  1. For the vulnerable who were unknowingly exposed

  2. For our recording to be hindered

And we would love nothing more than an army of prayer going up to our Heavenly Father on our behalf. Thank you for all the ways you've carried our family this year... in encouragement, in prayer, in financial support, in purchasing from Poems of Grace, in friendship, and in so much more. We appreciate each one of you, and are trusting God's grace to carry us no matter the circumstances.


We want to say with our brother Paul:

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:12-13)


We can rejoice in recording in Nashville. We can rejoice in staying isolated in KC with COVID. We can rejoice in healthy families. We can rejoice in sick families. We can do all the things God's called us to through Jesus who strengthens us. We have hope in every devastation and in every accomplishment because we are His.
